What would it take to convince you folks?

The SLS can't be used to compress the springs. The only question that remains is will a new set of springs (subframe bushings, springs pads, etc.) hold the full weight of the unloaded vehicle at the proper ride height when the SLS is disconnected. I'll let you know when I do it on the 84.

I do know that the 22 year old rear suspension parts on my 85 will support the car at just below proper ride height.

Think about it in terms of a non-SLS car. The springs support the car, the shocks dampen the road bumps. In an SLS car the shocks are replaced with an adjustable height shock (the actuator+accumulator).

To make it perfectly clear, I have made no distinction between worn springs and worn subframe bushings and spring pads.

Hey Guys,

I think the problem is my levelling valve. Does anyone of you have this available? Used part would be better for me. I really appreciate all your inputs. Thank you. Please send me a PM if you have this levelling valve thanks.

Check Ebay, I've seen valves on there in the past.
