Your second sentence COMPLETELY contradicts the first.

This person is clearly not familiar with Mercedes, or in fact European cars in general, as there's nothing unusual about them.

Taking a Mercedes to a nonMercedes mechanic is a complete crapshoot in EVERY instance.
