1983 240d vacuum question

Howdy Howdy,

I have a 1983 240d which i am going thru vacuum system...the car started shifting badly after i replaced the vacuum hose between the brake booster and the vacuum pump.

Question, there r 2 barbs on the vacuum hose .....i looked at the 240d vac diagrams and i want to make sure that i have the vacuum line that goes to the EGR is on the correct barb. It shows it on the barb on the vacuum pump side, is this correct? I was told it should be on the break booster side.

I am replacing the ERG manifold which leaks as well as the 3 2way valves the one lever is worn off and the metal plunger is worn.

the dash pot is replaced and the line to the transmission does hold vacuum.

Oh and i got all the door locks to work too. LOL

Thanks
Dizzy
