Smile Just turned over 400K miles

I finally turned over 400K miles on the 300D today someplace in the middle of NE, while driving from chicago to denver. Now I have to start waiting for 500K.

Are you sure you don't have a drill attached to that cable...........

Seems like it passed 300K not too long ago............

With the new oil pump chain and tensioner...........it'll probably be fine for 500K.

Congratulations. Thats a testament to care and maintenance.

I fully expect my 99 will see that milestone, if not under my stewardship, under anothers.

I hadn't thought of that.

I've been doing about 40K per year so it doesn't take too long. The only problem is my cruise control just started acting up (tired foot), I have to do the GDL troubleshooting thing. Maybe it's finally time to order a rebuilt amplifier.

How many repairs?

How many repairs have you done over the years? What major stuff? Someone told me the story of his grandfather's axe, which seemed to last forever. He only ever had to replace the head and the handle, but it was the best axe he ever owned.

Also, if you're doing just highway miles, that's a lot easier than in town driving. You should get more miles than most other people if it's all long hauls.

Cool! I want to see how long that original engine lasts! Maybe they do actualy last 500k miles if you drive them enough and take care of them!

It will probably be another decade before my SDL passes 300k, I'll never catch up.
