300SDL new compressor clutch fixed nagging problem

hi gang,

I've been having to turn my ignition off and back on to get my ac compressor to run since i've had my 1986 300sdl. After reading several threads here from experts i replaced the compressor clutch and it has fixed the problem.

I didn't have to evacuate the system either. I removed the compressor bolts and moved the compressor up on top of the fuel filter (with hoses attached) where i was able to remove the old spring plate, pulley and coil and replace with reman from MB.

If you're AC compressor kicks off and won't come back on until you turn the key off, replacing the clutch should be high on the list of potential fixes.

Cheers (it's hot here in new orleans)
