Pinging after diesel purge?
Ran 1 can of diesel purge through the 82 SD today and I noticed what could be a pinging sound. I'm not sure and can't confirm it so I'm wondering is it possible to get pinging AFTER purging? Overall it is quieter and smoother than before and the leftover DP was dark!
One more thing: I laid down some fresh cardboard to determine what leaks I have and how bad they are. Turns out my tranny still leaks. The piece of cardboard was sitting centered under the transmission. Any possible idea of knowing what's in question with the leak? Thanks.

Probably one of the many transmission seals, or the pan gasket. Check that first.

I have a feeling its the pan gasket. When I did a filter and fluid change a few years back, it was noted that the pan was bent.
