New to the w123. Intercooling and turbo questions.

Finnaly I got one a 85 300D Turbo rust free with 187k miles.
After 3 years of completely sitting in a garage, I had to invest $200 in maintainance which is ok because the old Benz started at the 1st attempt. It is running rough for 3-4 minutes then runs like a charm. My experience tells me it needs new injector nozzles and a better tune up.
The car runs great but it bugs me that it doesn't have an intercooler, and I can tell the old Garrett turbo is getting pretty tired.
Does anybody modifies the Intake manifold to accept a intercooler and runs different turbos on their 617???
My other question is how can you add more fuel without messing with ALDA? or what is the propper way to do it?? I have read all kinds of threads and I hear mixed stuff + I don't want to take chances of seizing my engine.
Raising the boost to 14-15psi calls for an intercooler and more fuel. These engines are way underated with the stock boost BUT will last forever. I just want more punch to it, then again I'm coming from driving a daily 22# boosted Talon..
