Vacuum to modulator

Can anyone tell me how much vacuum I should have to the trans modulator? 83 300DT 722 315 Trans Thanks

The number will vary but a figure of approximately 12" at idle would be a good place to start. If the shifts are mushy, you can reduce it to 10" or lower. I currently run the SD at 8" with good results (firm shifts).

It should also be 0 at wide open throttle.
