Upper Control Arm Cheap on Fastlane
Hey Guys,
I am looking to go ahead an replace both upper control arms (the left bushing, bolt and washers flew off when I was doing 70 on I-95 the other day and I still made it home just fine). So I'm checking the parts on fastlane and see the Febi at $95, the moog at $87....and then a "First Equipment Quality" (???) at $34!!??!!. Is this correct? Does anyone have experience with these parts? What would you guys reccomend I get...I rareley equate price to quality, but this sounds a little too good to be true.

I bought Febi parts from my part guy...
I don't trust the name of those cheapies... The Febi's are really good quality and I am happy with them.. |

Somehow, I would stick with Febi or Moog, or if I was goingto e-bay the car, the FEQ ones, so I could say "New UCA's" in the posting...
Best thing to do would be to contact Roy or Phil. They will not B.S. you on parts or the quality.

There are many possible interpretations of first quality. It might just be a relabel brand name with nothing at all to do with quality for example. Or they might be okay.
One of our members, Roy, is involved in the operation there. Why not give him a call and ask? He picks up on things very fast from many years experience as a working mechanic. He has also been involved long enough in the parts buisiness as well to have some feedback or just plain knowledge. I suspect fastlane would not handle real junk. |
