take the tank to a radiator shop and have it "boiled out".. after doing this, they can relign the tank with a anticorrosive substance...

or plan b: get another from th scrap yard.

That suggests you've got, or have had water in the tank. I'd want to know how it got there.

Re:

Demon, do you know about how much radiator shops charge for that procedure? anyone??

tm=== i got the water from poor quality biodiesel and leaving the car without any activity for extended period of time i suspect.

IMHO I'd suggest staying away from any homebrew bio or WVO/SVO and use a max of commercially prepared B20 only in your engine. Your inj's and engine will thank you for it with many more years of service.

Cleaning a tank is pretty inexpensive using a machine shop or radiator repair shop. Foster's Machine Shop in Seattle charged me around 40.00 to dunk and rinse a tank from an old W109 a couple years ago. Hope that helps with the question.

What did you do to make the rust mad?

Seriously, get it taken care of. I would also consider adding a fuel/water separator to your system.
