I think so

If the vehicles have like bodies, I think it would be do able, especially if you own them both and have them side by side. You might have some wiring harness differences, but I would think simplicity would be on on the side of the diesel going into the gasser. Don't forget the fuel line differences, speedo gears and rear end change to do it right. Don't forget the camera and show us what you run into.

Also the fuel pump for the gasser is behind the rear axle. I think you might need to change the tank too.

Research on if it's legal to do that first. Since there was no diesel wagon in 1992 and the engine being older than the car it may not be possible to register it because of emissions legal mumbo-jumbo.

Transplanting an older engine into a newer body is legal in VA. The catch is that it has to meet the emissions for the later year. When transplanting a newer engine into an older car the emissions regulations it has to meet are based on year of the engine. In both cases it has to meet the later, more stringent regulations.

Talking Wow Thanks

I'm so glad i got into this forum, i've never encountered such willingness to help.Quite refreshing, after being in some forums that can be rather elitist. I know where i'll be asking for help in the future. If i can offer any help with biodiesel (I've been making and running 100% in my vehicles, without a single problem, since 7/11/01) please let me know. cheers martin ps i'm not concerned about regulations since i live in a very rural area on an island.
