Help: Can you change a motor mount?

Anyone here in the Austin area in the mood to change out a motor mount (pass side) on my 300SD?

I thought I had the tools necessary, but it just wouldn't work....

Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Nah...didn't use it....got under there using the manufacturers repair manual...just don't have the right tools to get the top bolts....spent hours going through all my tools trying to find one that would work....no luck...

$82.50 in labor to have it done at the local MB Indy....I think it sounds like a good deal.....

$82 in labor one side only sounds like scotch tape and bubble gum. Gem em both done and tranny mounts too. Knowin yer 300SD can reach 408k easily if well maintained.

Dunno why "high mileage" syndrome gets applied to diesels. Everybody here knows 250k aint nothin for one, and we hear little of em dyin at/near 350k+. More like everybody gets scared and ditches em first, I dunno why.

Seriously these engines achieve plateau where seems like they last forever, just gettin slower and slooower thats all.

Listen to the Dog. Get em both done. You will likely replace one and then the other will be stressed and fail soon after.

Kevin, I could do it for you next week if you can leave the car over here for couple of days. PM and we can discuss.
