W124 rearview mirror mod, wiring diagram needed

Mirror fits 2006 and Up ML, R, and GL Class. Mirror has Home Link Garage Door opener, Self dimming mirror, Micro Phone for phone/tele aide system, and dome lights.

Number on top of mirror housing is 1 E1 010696

wiring harness number is MC:A 164 810 21 17/8k

Nice! I got a basic unit out of a Dodge and hooked it up to to the sunroof switch. It doesn't have the other functions. I glued a lug to the windshield and left the hole where the factory mirror goes. You can't see the hole unless you look for it.

Cool! I was going to go the same route and use a mirror that had a compass. I was then going to cut, grind and paint the old mount to fill the hole. This mirror was too good of a deal to pass-up (20.00$ delivered) and keeps the mod to MB OEM equipment (not that I really care adhere to that, cause I still don't have a compas but I have a mood light). Sixto check out the thread in the tech forum. You might be able to plug your OEM mirror mount/ ball stalk into that Dodge mirror and sick it back in the mounting hole.
