126 owners - guide rod bushing life?

A quick question for the 126 owners......What kind of lifespan have you seen for the guide rod bushings? I replaced both of mine about 4 yrs and 50k miles ago and recently started to hear a little popping when crossing speed bumps and a slight clack when firmly applying the brakes. I was hoping for them to last longer and wondered if that is to be expected.

Clack sound....

Hmmm - when I pull out of the garage in reverse and put on the brakes for the first time I hear a faint clack as well. I've not been able to figure it out (doesn't do it all the time when driving - just in the morning).

I replaced my guide rod bushings as well when I rebuilt the front end at the beginning of the year (and torqued to spec per the FSM). Maybe they need to be re-torqued after some wear?

No idea....maybe they are just super worn out? But I never hear anything anymore, and I used to get a clunk when slowing while backing up... Oh well....
