126 300sdl Rough Idle post start

Hey all,

My 300SDL has a rough idle. The problem is that the idle is the kind that shakes the steering wheel when stopped at a light. When I start it up cold it takes a bit and runs rough, shaking the wheel. The thing that gets me is that if I stop at the store and come back out and let the glow plugs warm the fuel (after its been warmed) the idle is much more smooth. Can this be a vacuum issue? When I bought the car there was a golf tee in a vac. line. I know this is quite a fix Leads me to believe there are more vac. issues. (the car does shift a bit jerky)

What I find most strange is that the idle is much improved when the glow plugs warm the fuel after it is already warm. This must be a factor somehow, I just don't know.

I know that is a quite a bit of info. Just wondering where I should start to look. Someone please tell me that the answer is going to be quick and easy

Thanks to all in advance!
