i did something stupid today.

I pulled into a gas station and didnt check the price before i pulled in, and it was on a corner where on the other side of the street there were two other gas stations so i looked at the gas price where i was and across the street. well what i didnt know was there was a sign turned sidways and one facing me that i could read. so i took that the sign i could read was one huge gas station. i was so very wrong. it was 3.07 for both gas stations that i could see. so i hopped in my car after filling up. thinking i got a good deal. and i turned the corner only to see 2.89 a gallon smack me in the face.

Please tell me you didn't put "gas" into your 240D.
Doesn't matter how good of a deal, it would've been stupid

Fueled up at $3.35 and that's the cheapest. Drove around all the other cheap stations, and it was $3.45, $3.49, and $3.55

Man, i'd take the 3.09 any day. Diesel in Chicago is about 3.19-3.37, thats why i've been driving my Infiniti around mostly, cause at least premium is still around 2.90-3.04

Diesel is 3.50 in California in the bay area. Probably higher in San Francisco. Premium is like 3.40.

odd thing about the price of diesel over here is it's pretty much the same at ALL the stations, cheapo, high priced, big stations etc. even accross the line in SC where there is 16cents less tax... still 2.97ish...

my corner marathon station that does not advertise seems to be the cheapest overall most of the time currently at 3.15..... probably cuz they don't have to spend for the sign for diesel.

that does not sound so cheap but its averaging 3.19-3.25 around grand rapids. reg unleaded is actually cheaper right now at 2.99.

I put about 5 gallons of premium gas in my diesel once. When I realized what I did, I then filled it up the rest with diesel.

Seemed to run fine, even quieter than normal. That was many many 10's of thousands of miles ago. If I did any damage, it must have been minimal.
