Craigslist and fuel efficiency ...
I'm doing my usual Craigslist troll and can't help but notice that cars get MORE fuel efficient as soon as they get posted in a craigslist or ebay ad!! The 240 in this ad is a perfect example:
http://denver.craigslist.org/car/460587274.html So I've got a bright idea ... do you think I can squeeze a few more mpg out of the 123 if I put her up for sale and then buy it back for myself?? I figure I can get even better efficiency if I put "biodiesel ready" in the ad.. |

I don't know- the 3 mpg W126 is a disappointment.

Yeah I think that one might be on the lot for a while.
Someone near me is trying to sell a 240D stick, in good shape with about 160k on it (seemingly, haven't seen it in person) and claims 35-40mpg. Ha ha. Oh, and he wants $4000 for it. AND, it doesn't even have a radio!
