Thumbs up Its done and shes off to a new life!!

I finally got the GREMLINS out of my fuel tank!
She was sitting for way too long and the little buggers invaded the fuel and this is the product i got today from our local marina repair shop.Very potent stuff too.http://www.lubricants-oil.com/products/6.shtml
So heres a few pics of the product and of course one of my new additions to the great family of Mercedes Benz....And yes there will be more MB coming into the yard very soon!
Best regards to all

Glad to hear things turned out!

Hey, if a product does what it's advertised to do, why not tout it?

I have a Yanmar 2QM15 diesel in my sailboat, and Bibor does work - but the marine environment is harder on fuel than the fuel tank of your MB. I would not use Bibor for my MB's.

Its because of the emissions. Their is nothing different than a 617's fuel system and that of any similer vintage marine or off road diesel.

I would not use this stuff in a Bluetech, other than that go nuts.

Starbrite makes and excellent fuel cleaner as well, which I used on my SD with good results. The key to killing this stuff is keeping after it, for a few months everytime you fill the tank keep adding Biobor even after you think its all gone, because it will come back.

Be sure to change your fuel filters after the Biobor as the stuff is killed and now will clog your filters. Starbright is the real deal if you ask me however. I've got 32 cylinders and 3000 HP using it and it works according to both the amount of soot I clean off the transom every trip and the stuff I see in four Racors.

Close, but no cigar! The Yanmar doesn't have glo plugs - starts on pure compression. Don't we all wish MB diesels would do the same - but then life would be dull with out glo plug problems in the middle of some NE cold snap.

Yeah I know, I sold Yanmar engines and parts for 7 years. The injection systems are similer.

They usualy fire off when its cold, box heaters are not a bad idea.
