Workin on the diesel is about to get easier!

March 07, I bought a 2 post lift used. This weekend I finally put it up. It will take another couple weeks to get the cabling and hydraulics in order, and it should be good to use. Next summer I can paint it up pretty.

When I read the title I kinda knew it was going to be about a lift.

Nice addition to any garage.

Cheers,

Bill

Wow, that's cool...

Next time I come home to WI I'll bring the SD and we can try it out!

I'll be right back down with the 280! we can throw some shift linkage bushings in it. They're arriving from Phil, tomorrow.

Done -
-New tires
-New brakes
-adjusted ignition timing/dwell
-repaired exhaust (two new bent sections in both down-pipes...remember??)
-adjusted D-jet potentiometer, pressure regulator
-adjusted valves
-disassembled, cleaned, and lubed all throttle linkage
-all fluids/filters
-aligned
-slack out of steering gearbox
-new steering damper and idler arm repair kit
-R&R'd right CV joint, inner

Immediate needs -
-water pump
(the car is so quiet now after repairing the exhaust that I can detect a faint something from the water pump)
-Clutch disc

That's a nice lift. I wish I had the overhead room to get one of those. I've been thinking about doing a mechanics' pit with a sump pump in my garage floor. That with jack stands should be functional, but not as luxurious as a lift.
