ARA actuator on 606.910 IP. Function?
Seaches have netted not much but a passing reference to it. What it is and what does it do? And what happens when its broke! ?

Yeah, I had the same response when I asked the local indy! I think I might just unplug the electrical connections and see what gives. THis is amechanical pumpw ith one ( two?) electrical connections only, and I'm trying to diagnose a faulty timed pulse ( or a compression issue).

Terry, ????, just quoting the service manual. I have no clue, but I might if I disconnect it!
Its a "pod" on the rear of the IP with a two prong electrical connection. It has a critcal internal clearnace. I was wondering if its the "rack dampner" on a 95 606.910. |

Possibly a idle speed actuator? I know the 602/603 has one. The idle speed could be controlled by the rack actuator on the 606 however...I don't really know.
