I think mine got fouled up with oil from a bad fuel shutoff valve. So I'm looking for the little part that has two ports for vacuum lines and attaches with a pair of screws, not the whole ignition assembly.

On a related note, I did vacuum testing tonight with my newly arrived vacuum pump and vacuum gauge as my dog slept in the passenger seat.

This is what makes me think I need a new ignition valve:

1) There was oil in the line leading away from the fuel shutoff valve.

2) I replaced the fuel shutoff valve.

3) Shutoff still was taking pretty long, then didn't work at all.

4) When I plug off the brown line that leads to the ignition valve, the system holds 22 or so inches of vacuum as measured by a line that feeds into the EGR valve. When the brown line is connected, the system only holds 1 inch or so of vacuum.

5) My pump won't hold vacuum either when I connect it to the brown line. Also, when the key is in the shutoff position and the engine is running, I can't get the engine to shutoff by vacuum pumping the brown line (which runs into the firewall)

6)The engine shuts down in a jiff if I connect the vacuum pump to the fuel shutoff valve and give it a squeeze.

Do you think I'm pretty much on the right track, or have I missed something? Any thoughts on finding an ignition shutoff valve? Anyone have any advice on actually changing it?

I've got a never-used one lying around, it's the first one on that page. I don't know if I have the gaskets for it, but the part is brand new never installed or used.
