Maybe this is my problem as well....

Saw this post and it maybe my problem as well??

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=204469

I ran out of fuel a few days ago and have been unable to get me MB300SD82 started again.

I did notice that there is pressue built up in my Fuel tank. When I remove the feed line to the inline fuel filter no fuel pours out of the line. Although I can pull fuel thru the line with small manual fuel pump. I used this method to hopefully unstick a possibly clogged fuel tank screen. Pumping fuel back and forth several times.

When I open the tank to add more fuel there was a big sucking sound as I removed the cap.

With only 4 gallons of fuel in the tank should fuel flow from the fuel line when I remove the line from the inline filter?

How do u go about cleaning and or repairing a clogged fuel tank vent line?

Is it just a matter of running some coat hanger wire up the pipe or is there a better way?

I did try a temp. 1 gallon fuel tank in the engine compartment but perhaps I've run her dry from all the cranking and I only got 3 cranks b4 the battery died. New battery but I've been cranking it lots without success the last few days. Also, I haven't been able to get the primer to prime. I thought it was a bad primer as I've only had the car for 1 month and hadn't had to use it b4. but if the vent is plugged would this keep the primer from working properly.

In any event I'll attempt to check the tank vent tommorrrow.

well try starting the car with the fuel cap open. if you can start it then it is probably the breather line.

If you haven't already fill your filter with fuel, leaves less to prime.

No, not unless the car was parked facing downhill on a significant slope.
