I have a 1982 300SD, which is in need of a transmission. I know that the SD has the electronic speedo...

I have access to a recently rebuilt 722.118 transmission... I know it is not an electronic speedo one, but can I transfer the speedo portion to my transmission and use the 722.118?

What will it take for this to work? if at all?

i have the opposite situation; i have a 722.120 sitting in my workshop but only have 722.118-equipped cars...

described the helpful information for me which kept me from replacing the 722.118 with the 722.120. maybe the admiral has some more info for you on the reverse situation?
