Talking race win!!!!

my buddy got a jetta TDI 1.9, with a K&N as his only mod, std 5 speed

i have 3 inch exhaust no muffler or anythng, and i havent found a air filter i like so ive been driveing with no filter at all for a month now lol dumb but so sweet

i keep it in L, it shifts into 2ed L at 4500 and we are just about even, a bumpper difference

for a 22year old i think its good i can keep up and some times even beat him, his is a 2004 i think, so his runs like crap or MB POWER shouldnt be messed with

when it started to rain we did 1 last race," all races at lights" he spun and i went down the street with no prob, only 1 wheel gripping but i blew his doors off lol

had to share this

Wow the spelling and grammer is worse than mine!

The engine may be getting destroyed, but at least it beat a VW.

He probably doesn't know how to shift thats why you won. We raced an M3 last night in my friends slightly tuned Chevy 2500HD, (super charger coming soon!), anyway the tool in the BMW didn't know how to shift, and totaly ****ed 2nd gear. Lame race.

My guess is the VW wasn't running very well....maybe because of that K&N being on there for a while?

Yeah I drove my cousins 04 1.8T Jetta around for a bit when it was new, they are dog's. The 1.8T has no balls, you have to rev it to death to move. But it still has no torque, about as fast as my old 4 banger Camry.

The new Civic's are suprising when you drive them, Honda really knows how to make good 4 cylinders.

Woohoo, 300D and Jetta TDI....two of the fastest cars known to man right there.....

What are their 0-60 times... ~13 sec for the 300D (add a few for age), and maybe 10.5 for the Jetta if you burn up the clutch and powershift it?

Makes my E300 seem like a downright rocketship at around 8 seconds.

I guess it's time for that chip..

I ran a toyota hybred the other day and I beat them in my 300sdl.
Problem is I don't think they knew we were racing.

Yet I drove the 300cd after several weeks not driving it that sucka is a rocket ship. Now I did run neck and neck with my friends new 6.0 ford truck (king ranch etc) with the CD. I stopped and he commented Dang that thing is fast.

Thats not hard to do. The hybrid's 0-60 is ~12.5 seconds.

I just wanna know, if you run your hybrid out of gas... can you get up to interstate speed before the exit comes up?

Put an air filter on that thing and you'll get fussed at a LOT less... they're pretty easy to find. Joe Parts House ought to be able to order you one out of the book, if ordering the right one off this website or numerous others is challenging.

(Not trying to be smart, just offering reasonable suggestions )
