My 300cd 82 starts but it does not pass 30mph

Hello I think I got a huge problem. My car starts and the transmision is very ok because I can fell it changing gears. I acelerate it pedal to the metal, all the way down. The car starts to move slowly until it reach 25 to 30 mph and a little more but is very hard to brake and to acelerate. What is this problem and is it hard to fix please help it might die on my hands. And That's is not a option I trust you guys. Thanks Also it does not turn off.

Replace both fuel filters, and do a valve adjustment. I bet it needs all those things at the very least.

Check your diesel for fungus/algae. You will need to replace both filters and remove the fuel tank screen to clean it. Also treat the diesel with a biocide. for 3-4 tanks.

Hard to brake could be a vacuum problem. The acceleration issue could also be a linkage issue.
Or, given you have problems with both braking and acceleration, there's a possibility your brakes are seized.

Check your throttle linkages, make sure when the car is floored, so is the Injection Pump.

Also ,along the throttle linkage is that joint coming off the firewall,it joins the main linkage with the foot pedal in the engine bay ,give that a wiggle ,if its lose you have a large round bushing in their that makes the difference in amount of foot pedal range.Done it on all my cars and is very common.Takes 10 minutes and 2 tools.
