Makes a US 240D seem fully optioned.

That would be a VERY fun car to drive, and the color combination is nice too. Love the 5 speed, the manual climate control, the Euro headlights and the 250D badge....BUT....it doesn't look well taken care of. The seats look terrible (they appear to be leather? Never conditioned? Parked in the direct sun?) and the aftermarket alarm pad (I guess that's what it is) and fuel & oil gauge (I guess the originals don't work anymore?) are very tacky.

It's got some interesting "plumbing" for a veggie oil system - what is that red coiled thing under the hood - a heater? Where does the spare tire go if the silly fuel-tank-inside-a-pillow-case is taking its place? And - a diesel car that runs on alternative fuels is really not a "hybrid" at all.

This car would take quite a bit of un-pimping to get it back to its original beauty. I think it's sad when the rare Euro cars get "modified" like this.

What is the thing with lines coming out of it near the exhaust manifold?

I assume it's part of a WVO hack, probably a fuel heater. To bad that car is so messed up.

An honest to god W124 250D, even with the euro plastic hubcaps, euro heater controls and lights, really rare to see those in the USA, but soooo badly hacked up.

Shame.

W124 250TD sedan

'Someone here in town has a 5spd 250TD ,all manual:sunroof , windows,Etc.
Everything is O.E.
'Very practical , very, very efficient automobile.
The owner is an older German gentleman.
'It's obviously an "other" market car since Montvale never imported this model.

No AC, yet there is clearly a condenser and receiver located in front of the radiator.

Looks like a hacked on EGR system from the federalization process.
