W116 LWB turbo diesel

I converted a 450SEL into a 300SDL. The car absolutly beautiful. Near perfect in every way. Mercedes should have made a LWB W116 TD from the begining. I would love to keep this one, but I dont drive it (mostly for fear of damaging it) and I can use the money. Check it out on ebay. Direct Link

I agree, they should have made a 116 300SDL.

I don't much of a difference between that and a real SD.

Thumbs up

Love it... engine is real clean, props on the conversion! They really should have had a LWB diesel W116 man... It just seems so right.

This is the first time I have listed this car on ebay as a Turbo Diesel. The conversion was straight forward. time consuming, but as far as engine swaps go it was an easy one to do. We had a complete W116 SD donor car so everything just bolted on. In fact the only cutting that we did was behind the rt. head light in order to attach the snorkle for the air intake. I love the ride of the long wheel base. And the fact of the matter is that most of the nice W116 cars that are left, are gas.

I guess it was the Craigslist posting we were discussing.

112.5" compared to 116.5" isn't much of a difference in looks, just legroom in the back I would assume.
