Me: New rear axle w/synth oil, synth eng oil Wifes: new brake lines + flush + ant

Thats what I call a good Sunday. Car is riding so much better, but suprisingly louder. Anyone else experience the same issue? My wifes car also got 4 new shoes and an alignment. She had gone off the interstate onto a slope. I just noticed today there is a place where the UCA extended past its bounds through the body sheet metal right infront of the battery tray!

What synthetic oil did you put into the cv axle boots? I am planning on re-booting mine sometime soon and am trying to figure out the best lube to put in there. Also, how much did you put in to each one?

Oh...hmm

Why when replacing the CV axles does everyone use grease and not oil like MB did/intended? It can't be hard to fill it, just install boot, tighten clamp on the large side of the boot, use a tube/funnel and get the oil in through the other side thats not tight yet, then tighten that clamp.

Wouldn't it be better to use a synthetic oil of some sort? The same as in the differential perhaps? Mobil 1 75w90?
