How do you test door locks vacuum on W124?
 

I now have a Mity Vac in my possession, so I want to find the leak that causes the door locks to go down slowly and slopily.

1) How do I lift the rear seat? From the bottom of it toward the roof, or from the rear of the seat then forward?

2) Once that's off, I guess I use a vac and test each line? Someone said to put a golf tee in the other lines to block them off or something? I forget.

When they are working properly they kinda go down slowly, maybe 1 to 2 seconds for the whole process. And even then not evenly, one may close faster than the other.

Push in the orange tabs under the front edge of the seat cushion and lift the front of the seat up. The pump is in a foam clamshell on the right side, I believe there is only one line out (push-pull) but not sure.

Yes the pump is under the rear seat on the passanger side. It only has one line, does your vacuum pump have the feature to blow and suck air? You may need a pump that will do so to test the door locks.

Oh, and on the 124, the locks (doors, trunk, fuel door) are not connected to any other vacuum system.

Slow locks are normal????
 

Yes, that's what they're doing now, and I was thinking of fixing that. One less thing to do if that's normal.
