Strange vacuum(?) problem
I started the coupe up today after it had been sitting for the last 3 weeks.
The last time I had it out it ran GREAT. Today it didn't want to go into gear, slipped badly, and when I went to shut it off, it continued to run for about 15 seconds. Now, if it is a vacuum leak somewhere, I would think it would shift hard, not slip. Am I dealing with 2 seperate issues? I did take a quick look under the hood and did not see anything out of place. Thoughts?????

Fluid if good and filter has has less than 25 miles on it. I did both right before the Fl. GTG.

While waiting for the experts to report in:
I would agree that they would seem to be unrelated. Certainly you could approach the problem that way. Get out the vacuum guage and start at it. Check vacuum to trans modulator. Pull vacuum on the shut off valve and see if it shuts off (watch for oil being pulled up from the valve). Check for oil around the ignition shut-off valve - perhaps the vac. lines are loose from being oil soaked. Do you have a trans. fluid leak? Perhaps lost fluid while sitting? Did you check fluid level while running with HOT fluid? Good luck - sounds interesting.
