"E" Brake cable has come adrift
The cabin end of the E brake cable as come adrift (W123) so I managed to squeeze under the dash and re attach it but it shortly came lose again. I had tightened up the cable adjustment under the car, thinking too take the slack out but that didn't solve the problem. I have jacked the car back up and adjusted the "E"brake shoes and plan too reattach the cable but am thinking that maybe I'm going too have too remove the whole assembly to see why the cable wont stay hooked up...any thoughts??

I reattached it, took quite a while the first time and not so long the second. Its still holding, maybe it wasn't quite in the "slot" before. It looked like it wouldn't be too big a problem to remove the whole unit if need be.
