300D 2.5 turbo oil pump sprocket
Greetings,
I'm in the process of swapping a new engine into my 1990 300D and have discovered why my original engine has died. The oil pump sprocket has no teeth! ![]() Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what the part number is for oil pump sprocket? |

What were the engine oil pressure readings prior to the engine dieing on you?

I bought the car non-running. I got it started and the gauge showed 0 oil pressure. The engine ran on 3-4 cylinders had large amounts of blow by. When I pulled the oil cap off it looked like a locomotive, HAHAHAHA!
![]() I guess the repairs for this car were a little more involved than a fuel filter change. You win some, you lose some. |

Nice. I bet the pump picked up something and locked up.
