Just joined the 400K club!

"Tinkerbell", my favorite little 190D just turned over 400,000 miles!

Of course, the odometer promptly locks up...... . I guess not everything on the car was meant to last this long.

Klaus

Congratulations. I was saying to somebody the other day how cool it is to be part of a group of guys who brag about how many (not how few) miles they have on their cars.

I'm not aware of any other manufacturer promoting efforts to keep their cars on the road for so long. It speaks well of MB in spite of their less-than-stellar attention to quality control in recent years.

Yep, you're with a group that enjoys stuff like that..... Did it finally turn over some more after a few more miles? I guess maybe turning over all those tumblers might have caused the gear to slip on the shaft. {if it is similar to W123's}

Actually, 500K km = 310K miles; 750K km = 466K miles.

I keep meaning to do that, I guess I'll just wait for 1000K km (621K miles).
