Im wondering if there was ever a 1969 220 in diesel. Tried calling the seller but cant get ahold of them. Hes asking 1000 bucks, which is a great deal if its a gasser or diesel. It has 54k on it and is in great condition. Says engine runs great, but car needs some work to be roadworthy.l If its just brakework, I realy want it. If its a diesel, I REALY want it. I dont know why, I realy want a w115 diesel or a w114

Yes, there was a 1969 220D but he likely has a 220 g@sser with the M115 engine. The 220 was made 1968-1973 and the 220D was made 1968-1974.

If it ends up being real nice, Ill probably buy it, even if it is a gasser. ALthough I did swear after I got a 300d to never buy a gasoline car.....

I know an old man with about ten old mercs in his yard, all wrecked, ruined, abused or whatever. He wanted to restore them all I guess, but since hes very old i think hes just trying to sell them (i was going to buy a 300d for 700 bucks from him that hit a deer, but i have a parts car. I couldnt start it and he told me it was run low on oil becuase the deer busted the oil cooler) so I didnt buy it. But he has many w115 which I could probably find a diesel engine. But then again, 57k on this engine, replacing it would be a waste

There were no 114 diesels, just 115.
