Just kidding, of course. But wouldn't you just die laughing if you came across a TSB discussing the application of blet clip lube?

I was more than a little skeptical, but mostly perplexed. Car manufacturers do some odd things, and occasionally do call for lubing items which no one in the real world ever seems to pay attention to. I was thinking if such a product was legitimate, it must be for the inside of the ratcheting retractor mechanism, or something along those lines. HA! Amusing.

Back on topic, I think the smart thing to do here is to go ahead and make sure the belts are all straight inside the pillar before going much further on trying to wrestle the buckle around on the belt. I'm accused of over-maintaining just about everything, but in the case of safety items, I don't think their is such a thing as being too cautious.
