94 s350
Hello
I have a friend with a 94 s350 with a problem I can't figure out. The problem is the car runs fine until you shut it off. it will shut off just fine but you have to wait about 20-30 minutes to restart again. If the line is removed from the shut off vacuum pot and re-installed it will start just fine. For some reason the vacuum doesn't bleed off to allow the vehicle to restart. Any help or insight that anyone may have would be great. |

If memory serves me, that's a brown nylon line that goes to the shutoff. I broke that line changing my fuel filter and afterwards the engine wouldn't shutdown. It goes onto a "crowsfoot" at the front of the engine near the power steering pump. If there is a problem there, the transmission will shift hard and the turbocharger doesn't come online properly. If the shutoff is strictly vacuum operated, the valve may have a plugged atmosphere orifice or the bellows is stuck. I'd like to hear wht the fix is.
