Trick to removing 84 300SD hard lines?

Hello. For a 1984 300Sd, is removing the hard lines between the fuel pump and the injectors as easy as it looks? Is there a way to bleed the lines before removal? Can I prime them somehow? If I remove them without doing anything, how long should I crank it before it will start, assuming no other issues? Sorry for all the questions. I checked the DIY section and couldn't find anything on point. Thanks!

a good 17mm wrench, possibly a 17mm crowsfoot wrench. there is no need to separate the line spacers. the entire assembly of lines can come off as one unit. some fine it easier to remove the middle spacer, so the front three lines come off separate from the rear ones.
putting it back together is pretty simple, DON"T BEND THE LINES!!! put them in place, start the threads on the IP first, then the Injector ends, then tighten the IP ends snug, then pump the hand pump until fuel bleeds out the lines, then crank the motor and tighten up the lines as the air stops bubbling out, usually from rear to front is the order they stop bubbling.

It's damn near impossible to bend those lines. When you adjust IP timing you've got to bend 'em..........and it's a real PITA.
