W210 Manuals---Help! - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I purchased a manual for my 1998 E300D off of ebay and lo and behold when it arrived it was digital! I got 4 cd's and when I tried to install the Program Manager and WIS it never works---there are a number of issues with the install.
I am frustrated because I wasn't told it was digital and now I cannot get it to install properly. However, all of the necessary files for running the PM and WIS are on the cd's so that if I could get it installed I think I would have something to work with.
Can anyone HELP me with this problem?

WIS is tricky to install. I don't know that I could help. If instructions came with the CDs, be sure to follow them to the letter. Sometimes trying again helps. You probably need to be connected to the internet.

The 210 DVD from MB is a whole lot easier to install. My only complaint with the MB DVD is that it does not cover my 722.4 transmission. It does cover yours.

Yes, I have now attempted install 10 times and have also installed all of the files on a new hard drive and tried to run them that way but the result is always the same. I printed the instructions and followed to the letter but at the same point in each install I get a different screen than the instructions

I emailed the fellow who sold me the cd's but he is totally unhelpful, to say the least.
I was hoping someone might have been through this and have an answer specific to this set of 4 cd's

Try using advanced search and also selecting posts by Carson357.

I'm pretty sure he has written about this problem.

I checked every post by him but the only that showed up was for the factory dvd set.
Still hoping someone has bought the same cd set and figured it out!
If not----can someone recommend which manual I should buy?
I am a diesel-trained professional and need excellent/correct technical material.

Is this the LEGAL OEM set or a stolen copy?
