Transmission Problem
My first post, I'm Jim,
I have a 1983 300SD (Parts car) with a transmission that 200,000 miles on it, The problem is as follows, reverse will not work at all and it will barely go forward, It takes a lot of RPMS to get it to even move. If I can repair the problem I would like to go that route, Any ideas? The fluid is fine. I did a transmission searched but found very little and nothing that will help me. Thank You ahead of time! 1990 350SDL 248,000 Daily 1984 300SD 241,000 Daily 1983 300SD 220,000 Parts car |

WOW! sounds exactly like my situation
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=209108 now your transmission might need a rebuild, the clutch discs can be worn, if it has 200K on the original tranny. but my tranny was rebuilt a few years ago and has about 25,000 miles on it. |
