There is a pivot bolt and 1 or 2 other bolts that hold it all into place. Loosen all three adjust compressor and retighten.

There should be an adjusting bolt on the bracket facing the driver's fender. Loosen up all three holding bolts and tighten the adjusting nut. Make sure you do not tighten it too much and snap the darn thing.

Here is a tip, if the belt gets loose over time, it could be too narrow. I have had belts from MB that are too narrow. they ride low in the pulley groove, wear on the sides and slip further into the groove causing slippage. Make sure your belts are 17mm (I think) across!

When I was replacing the belts on my CD, I could not get bolt #8 loose to save my life, 19mm IIRC, finally took it to a shop where they put it up on a lift and used a cheater bar.
Once you do get all the bolts loosened, easy to understand the tensioning.
You may want to check all your belts for wear etc.
