new motor done, tranny next?
just finished rebuilding the motor in my SD. what a job that was. these i5's are so over engenered. i did all of the machine work myself and used all oem parts. it cost a little over $3500 and the pistons are very hard to find. i went first over, 91.0mm, and had to bring them in from germany. had the pump done by a old german guy in san fransico for $950. she runs like a dream but my trany won't shift out of second now. would love to but in a rebuild but $1500 is a little out of reach right now. any help would be great.

Make sure everything is attached correctly. Bowden cable, gear selector, modulator vacuum, etc.
