Can't get my Interior Cabin Light to come on when door is open..85 300D

I can't get my Interior Cabin Light to come on when door is open on my 85 300D. It drives me crazy because its one of those things that says my car is decaying and turning into a junker. I always want every detail to work.
The behavior started when I disassembeled the car for painting and took apart a lot of stuff.
The Service CD has no wiring diagram!

Is it just the drivers door?

When mine wouldn't work I tracked the problem to the buzzer relay under the dash. The drivers door switch circuit goes through that relay box because the switch also controls the "you left you lights on" buzzer. If it's just the driver's door, that's where I would start.

Questions

You must provide us with more information so we can help you...

1. Which cabin light -- front or rear -- or both?

2. Which door or doors?

3. Will the light(s) work with the switch, just not with the door?

Jeremy

Ah, good point! It took me awhile to figure out how to set the switch, since it isn't labeled, or mine has worn off. My 124 was even worse, the electronic timer mechanism was defective so I was trying to get something to work that was not capable of it!

The 54-410.pdf is 246 KB and too large to post here so I posted it on Zshare a free hosting site where you can download it.
