210 wandering...
I think I have the classic 210 wander I've read about here. The car feels like the wind is blowing it around on the highway even when it's calm out. It seems to be the consensus to just replace the control arms rather than re-bush them. Is it the upper or lower arms that cause the problem? Are there urethane bushings available for them? I've re-bushed a few cars in my time and I have a press to make the job easier. Is it still just better to replace them?
Thanks!

I just did this job last month.
I just re-bushed the lower control arms and did the swaybar links and bushings too.
You would need a Klann type compressor, I got one off e-bay some other brand for under $200, best bucks I have spent in some time. I also got the tool to press out the bushings, from a member here for around $150, worked well. But you could really accomplish the same thing with some threaded rod, etc. With that said, I just did a 75 - 80mph sprint across the state and back, in various cross/head/tail winds @ 15 - 20 mph and she tracked really true. A major difference from the wandering I was accustomed to. If you do it, let us know, seems like I ran into a few snags and should put those on the ShopForum.

Mine had some of that too, of course the car had 253k on it though. Was never impressed with the 210.

Suspension rebuild info
Evan,
I did a complete front suspension rebuild on my 1999 E300 turbodiesel in March 2007. If you do a search on "99 E300 Turbodiesel- Complete Front Suspension Rebuild Parts List, Torque, Pricing" the post of 3/31/2007 should come up. Check the PDF file attached to that post for info that may be useful to you. Ken
