Is this the best W123 left in the world? Just 3,700 kms!
Lovely mint, mint, mint, 1979 W123 280E, a gasser, left hand drive though.
Like buying a brand new car. http://www.rakuten.co.jp/garagecurrent/465127/907967/ Garage Current, I love that place. Look at their AMG stuff. Too bad they are in Japan, though

Nice!
A lot of nice examples seem to be coming out of Japan, this is the first W123 I have seen, most are W126's and W124's. As I understand it, its not that difficult to import one.

2.9 million JPY or about $26.2K USD (and this assumes I read the price correctly)
Also looks to be more than 3.7km: 2740cc 1979年式 37200km FAT??? Cheers, -nB

I read 37,200 km (23,000 miles). If that's correct, the price (about $27K at the moment because the dollar sucks) is pretty reasonable. If it's really 3,720 km, it should be worth much more. A friend of mine sold a pretty decent U.S. spec '84 300CD with 30K miles for $25K a few years ago.
The shipping cost is only a few $1000, and importing a car that old shouldn't be an issue. |

Speaking of original tires, I just needed to use my spare for the first time. I've had my car 5 years now. I thought it was just a semi-bald used tire, never before looked closely at it. Turns out to be a new/unused original Michelin 175 SR14 ZX-P with the sidewall ridge that sticks out and 30lbs. of air. Still had the white powder on it. Wish I could find 3 more NOS of those tires. The car in the web site has Conti's. Were both used as factory installs?

I would replace that spare, tires that age can blow out at any time. If you are forced to drive on it keep the speed as low as possible, no highway.
My SDL had the original factory spare mounted when I got it, I replaced it with a new tire for $50.
