OM606: is the O ring behind the SOV a mercedes only part?

Or can I buy this shut off valve O ring at napa or advance auto?

Mr. Mule, you'd have to ensure that the material is diesel fuel resistant. It would suck to have to take that apart again next week if it's leaking.

I think the guy selling the Viton o ring kits may have been able to source this o-ring, too. You could check with him.

That would be Jadavis {Jim}; great customer service kind of guy and his web page with the Viton rings are here --- he may be able to get something else if what you need is not on here:
http://www.fryerpower.com/store/page11.html

and he even had a "blatent plug" over here:

Tell him "daw" sent you.....it may not be worth a discount, but at least he will know where you got the info.

Is there some reason you are willing to scour the earth and risk buying the wrong O-ring instead of getting the known right part from MB?
