Where is the best place to get a repair manual for this car?

Go here- http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/ This is where I bought it from last year. It is on a CD and has LOTS of info. It takes a bit of practice to learn how to navigate the CDs to find what you are looking for.

Or you can ask online on this forum. People have sent me manual info in pdf when I had questions.

MBUSA (www.mbusa.com) sells the two CD service manual for 19.99 for the W126 models which includes your SD.

Maybe that is where I bought it from... I remember spending about $30 for the CDs. The mercedes manuals on the link I posted was closer to $50.

Are these CDs easy to navigate?

Do they have to have access to the internet to work?

It takes a few practice trials but yes, once you become familiar with them they are easy to navigate.

No, it does not require the internet to operate.

Once you understand how the sub groups are put together. Some of the pictures are "C" quality but overall it's a must have for $20. You don't need the internet which makes it easy to tote the laptop out to the shop.

I agree, you shouldn't have to be on the 'net, but for some reason, it's necessary for me. I may have a setting different somewhere.
