Idiot parting out benz

Ok, this guy is parting out cars here in Denver. All of his ad's are vague as to what year. Like the most recent one - see ad below.
I called him a month ago on a previous ad, looking for some parts. He couldn't tell me what year or chassis # the vehicle was. He told me that the vehicle was "going to the crusher tomorrow", but if I wanted parts I had to tell him right now. I finally convinced him that I would not commit to parts without knowing the chassis #. So he eventually calls me back with the #, turns out it was a W123, I needed W116.
Now, here we are again, apparently with a different car and he has no info on year or chassis.
Again, I contacted him (via email this time), he says that I am the only person that has ever asked him for a chassis # , and then he says "do you need parts or not". When I replied, politely calling him an idiot , he never replied again.

NOT that I WOULD ASK you guys to flood his inbox with requests for a chassis #, but in case you need parts and WANT to ask him for a chassis #, please reply to the craigslist link.

Ad reads:
I have a blue mercedes Benz that the engine blew and had a front right fender bender. It is early 1980's but I don't remember. Any piece on it is for sale. Fenders, gril, seat motors, sunroof, seats, dashboard, rims, wheels, etc. Everything is going. Write me an email on what you want and I will get back with you on a price. Thanks.

Oh, and I would LOVE to see his replies. Please post them back here.

His ad says it's an SD in the title so it's a 126...unless it is an '80, but from his desription it's not a 116. I'd ask for a VIN number so you can run a carfax. See if that gets you anywhere.

He signed the end of his post -Regan, so I did a search in that same area (Denver) and came up with a phone number in this listing: http://denver.craigslist.org/car/491129319.html

and an e-mail address in this one: http://denver.craigslist.org/wan/497636302.html

No clue as to whether or not they're the same guy though.

Unfortunately....

his previous ad is gone, too old now.
However, that one was a W123. The ad read almost exactly the same, as I recall. I'm not sure if he's still got the same car, or if this is a different one.

That's hilarious that you guys are sending to his inbox. He probably got really excited at first, but soon he will realize that somebody got him.

any replies?

Well you guys, he finally replied. Now he says that it's not his car and that he is selling it for a friend. Giving me the phone # and friends name.

Did anyone else get replies?

I just sent an email requesting the Chassis # and the VIN so I could make sure it has the Cali exhaust parts I need.
He'll probably just say it isn't from Cali, but I'll come up with a sad excuse

Funny story there, my 300d isn't a Cali. Oops

Maybe I'm taking this a bit too far.
