I'm not sure to be honest. I bought a one-owner, no accidents 1984 300DT with 306000Km (so about 190000 miles) for $3600 (with FSM and full service records). I think I did pretty well, but ymmv?

80's 300D, easy to find.
Black, much harder. They don't seem to have sold many black ones. Almost mint, still harder. The people who bought these cars new usually bought them with the intention of driving a lot. Well maintained examples aren't so rare, but almost mint is going to be rare and $$$. If you aren't dead set on the black, white and especially yellow ones seem to be all over. Condition is the primary governor of price. Mileage isn't nearly as important. Around here you could find one in good shape and suitable for many miles of service for probably $3-5k. Like new condition is going to command several times that price.
