What pays the bills?

I thought I'd chuck this in along the lines of the age of members; what does everyone do for a living?

For example: I am a full time student, currently unemployed, but looking. My last job was selling cars at a shady Chevrolet dealership. I will never look at carsalesmen the same EVER again. I came to the conclusion that in order to do that for a career successfully you have to sell your soul.

Kind of off topic, but one of the used car salesmen spent time in prison for scamming old people.
Its public record: http://ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2001/020501.htm

Now he overprices and undervalues trade ins for elederly cadillac owners. There were multiple occasions where he made more than $5,000 dollars on a single person. That meant a $15,000 profit margin in a single transaction. I'll quit ranting now.

Anywho... what does everyone do for a living?

*edit*

By the way, I am studying Political Science and Business. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the rest of my life.

I meant this thread for dieselheads. Not every thread has to have substance. Come on, loosen up.

OK then, I'll be the first to get something diesel related into it.

I'm a tractor-trailer technician for Swift Transportation.

Don't do it! (I see using/owning a mac as similar to having a shiny white prison ball around your ankle....with an iSight camera built into it, so Steve Jobs can watch you....and laugh at how he sucked you into his proprietary overpriced computing world....)

Yeah.

Talking Hmmm

(while scrubbing diesel engine oil off my hands) I can't recall what I do for a living.
I am sure it will come back to me (as I am putting away my tools).

Sports copy editor at a newspaper. Used to be a sports writer, too. I've written some pretty good commentaries, but didn't have the necessary social skills to deal with the constant phone tag and interviews and BSing that goes along with feature writing. So now I just repair other people's writing, write headlines, design a few pages, etc. Sometimes it's dirtier and messier work than working on the diesel engine ...

I'm a student at E.C.T.I. (engine city technical institute) which is an all-diesel technician school (the UTI of diesel schools) and work at a shi**y petstore to afford gas, cigarettes, and party supplies. And the occasional car part

When I finish a few more phases, I'm set up so I'll be working at Cummins Metropower doing rebuilds. It's honestly all I want in life

Full time student. Also full time in the navy, where my job is to be a full time student.

BDCP is a swell opportunity. I'd recommend it to any mathematically/mechanically inclined college student looking for something after graduation.

Plant Manager in the plastics industry. Spent 5 years as an electrical engineer making missiles, then went back to school for an MBA, and ended up in the plastics industry. 11 years now as Plant Manager over 150 employees, all of them wondering about the nutty guy in the corner office messing around with vegetable oil and Mercedes.
