Just found block heater cord in the 300 TD i bought. Won't need it for some time but was curious - What is best way to access it in winter - snake it out front to side of grill? out bottom? Please advise. Thanks!

For the W123 cars, you can sneak it around the grille and tuck it under the black rubber spacer between the body and the chrome bumper. My father owns an '85 300D and this is where he puts his. Just make sure the cord dosen't get pinched br the grille. For my car, the cord is long enough to wrap around the bumper shock and then tuck it under. Those familar with W116 diesels know what I am talking about with regard to the exposed bumper "shock". Got to love those U.S. regulations.

Is this a 123 or 124 car?

123

It is an 82 300 TD so that makes it a 123 right?
